Michael Beck
I am presently living in Canton, Ohio, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
I was born in Canton and moved to Louisville, Ohio prior to starting school. I went to grade school at Pleasant Grove and I graduated from Louisville High School in 1963.
I received my AS degree in Business Administration and an AS degree in Secondary Education from Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I have a BS degree in General Studies from the University of the State of New York and an MA degree in Human Resource Development and Adult Education from The George Washington University.
I spent twenty years in the Navy as a Tradevman (Training Device Technician) and retired in 1984. The next nine years were spent in Maryland. I worked for NUS Training Corporation (a Halliburton Company) as a Program Producer and Project Manager developing video-based training programs.
In 1993, I moved back to Ohio. I worked for GE for about one year as a trainer. It was a one year project aimed at developing computer skills for their appliance technicians.
Most recently, I have been working for Haines and Co., Inc. as a Technical Support Manager. They publish Criss+Cross Directories, On-line Real Estate Database and a Target Neighbor program which are used by government agencies, Real Estate professionals, Insurance companies, etc. It is a great job and I plan to stay there until they chase me away.
